I brought Violeta from Paris (10 hrs) when she was 3 months old, they let me bring her with me in the cabin. What I did was I brought with me her water cup, a ziplock with some dry food, 2 to 3 treats, toys and wee wee pads. She would sleep most of the flight but when she woke up from time to time I would first give her water, put her in her wee wee pad right on the floor on my seat (if the airline lets you, if not go to the bathroom) and then offer her some food or treat. She would play a little and go back to sleep. (take some honey with you just in case she doesnt want to eat). Its really no big deal if she is used to her carrier, if not start now taking her everywhere in it to get her used to it.
