I've heard the same thing about it being easy.. and unfortunely I'm sure some people abuse the right to have a service dog.
As for dogs taking 'everything,' some people ruin it for everyone else. Although I will say, I personally wouldn't want dogs to be allowed in some places (grocery stores, restaraunts, etc.)
