TJ and Roxy were 1.5 years old when they were ''allowed" to have free run (downstairs) when left alone. It really depends. Although, my opinion and remembering when mine were that young that they tended to 'regress' (potty, etc...) when they had too much space and this was when I was home to supervise. And again, I guess it depends on how much space is actually free run. My house is kinda large so for Roxy and TJ it was too much free run - back then! Now, they are good!
