I was told by a carpet expert recently that even the enzyme cleaners can't get to some of the uric acid and the smells can remain. It's a scary thought! IF a pet urinates heavily in one spot, it can seep into the grout, tile, hardwood, concrete, and even beneath the carpet and pad, and into the concrete there. Urine smell and crystals are so difficult to remove! Because of the fact that our dogs have a sense of smell that is 1,000 times greater than ours, they can sniff out the old spots.

I've used a lot of cleaners and to me, the smell is gone, but not to a dog. I wish they would invent something that would penetrate and remove without fail
