To Feed or Not To Feed - That Is The Question Hi everybody!
I am new to the forum and new to the yorkie parenting. I just acquired a baby girl this past Sunday. She is a southern bell, who came to me all the way from Kentucky. I am glad to join the community of all the yorkie lovers. Thank you, guys, for all your help.
While my primary question deals with feeding schedule, I welcome any useful Yorkie related information such as good pet sitters, stores, groomers, etc., that can help my little girl get used to Chicago and have the best time there.
My Yorkie had no separation anxiety being taken from the breeder and she seems to be healthy and playful all the time. However, what I am not yet sure about is how much I should let her eat. I try to keep her on the schedule of four times a day since she is only 14 weeks and very small (2 lbs). Her breeder kept her on Nutro Puppy Lemon-Rice. So, I am sticking to the routine. I just want to make sure that I don't overfeed her quantity wise. She eats approximately 15-20 little pieces of food per feeding. Is it OK or is it too much for her weight? I am also interested to know what time do you, guys, start to feed your dogs, how often and what is the time for their last meal. She pooped four times yesterday. While the consistency seemed fine to me (pardon my French), it is the quantity, once again, that bothered me. Is it OK for her to poop so many times?
Thank you everybody for your input.
