There are so many breeders, EVERYWHERE. Why put yourself in the situation to be scammed, when you don't even have to? I'd look for breeders within driving distance (whatever that might mean to you. Five or six hours would be my personal max, but others drive further.)
There are breeders here on YT that I would trust, otherwise, it's safest to buy a dog from a local breeder, with references from sources you trust. I live in a small town, and was still able to find a breeder who would let me come to her house (multiple times), interact with her, her family, and all her dogs, see how they were raised, observe their temperaments, and final money was exchanged as I picked up my dog to take it home with me.
The price was right, but more importantly, the EXPERIENCE was right. I wouldn't trade it. |
