Thanks to all those who have replied to be regarding Lacy's broken leg. We took her to our Vet (whom we have complete confidence in) today and he said he simply could not understand what the emergency Vet was saying. He looked at the original x-rays and then re-x-rayed her in the splint and it is soooo obvious that these fractures cannot heal without being repaired. We are waiting for his phone call to tell us when he can do it. She will need pins and perhaps a plate and external fixation. We are sick at heart, but he says she will recover completely. Having heard favorable reports from all of you, we are trying to be optimistic! Again, thanks for your input.
