hi,
i can truly relate- I have a little boy"Presley" he is now 15 months and wieghs in at 6 pounds.. but re-member he was by what the breeder said sappose to be a tea cup-- i got him at 3 1/2 mths... and the first night i ended up at the animal hospital- $1100 later IV- and many visits later-- This is what i learned: when they weigh that little take in to effect they have small tummy's mine at 6 pounds has a stomach the size of a gulf ball. I leave dry food out all day, and give him 1/4 a small can of wet.. ideally dry food is best for a dog.. but, presley has what i call "model appitite" he is finicky, plus he eats what he wants.. some days more some days less, it is very important for your little one to eat i had to force feed through a siringe 10cc of A/D 4 times a day until he started gaining weight...It took 2 1/2 mths... You must stick with one wet food and do everything the same, they need patterns..also always have Nutra-Cal at hand an inch will help save them god forbid they get limp, mushy.. also what i use to do is mix it in with wet food.. but it is very important to monitor there eating.. Please know if you want to ever call me.. Private mess. me.. I Went through This .. I understand.. At one point my vet told me i have a sick dog and to return him.. 4mths. later..Lets just say i went to many vets. and i found one i love from this web site.. And My presley is Beautiful, and will always be with me ...And he is not a tea cup hehehe! He is a perfect toy-- And full of love..With eating issue's
hope i helped'
