I'm always paranoid about that too and therefor only cood something when I know I will be home all day....which is NEVER!
I also don't like to leave....even for a minute with the dryer on. I will leave the washing machine and dishwasher going if they are almost finished or I'm coming right back....I can clean up a flood.
