I have always had a crock pot.....I have changed several times over the years....started w/ a small one, then moved to one that the pot can be removed (this is a plus for easy cleaning) and then I moved to one of those nice big ones......I might even get one of those newer double ones now! HA!

I love to cook pot roast in mine..........put the roast in (beef or pork) some celery, carrots, potatoes, dry onion soup mix, salt/pepper, some water, oh and some onions....I think that is it....turn it on low in the morning and it is done (oh so tender and juicy) by dinner time....there is plenty of juice left over too for gravy....yum!

I have a good beef stew recipe (too long to remember off the top of my head) that I cook in the crock pot! YUM....that is perfect for these colder days/nights!
