I have been feeding my Scrappy 'Nutro' lamb and rice formula. Well I ran out and just couldn't make it all the way to petsmart to pick up another bag, so I ran to Publix and bought some cheap junky dogfood to make do for a day or two. Well, bad idea, he and my Poodle LOVED the bad yuckie for them dog food. So I gave in and let them finish the bag, it took about 2weeks. By then I'd purchased another bag of the 'Nutro' dogfood at Petsmart. The good thing, switching dogfood didn't upset their tummies at all. The bad part... my Poodle is soooo flakey (his coat is black too! very noticable) and my Yorkie is soooo oily haired now. I'm giving him a bath like every 3 or 4 days cause he looks like a grease ball. I'ts been about a good full 7-days since he's been back on Nutro but forgoodness sake how long will it last? Anyone had this problem?
Lesson Learned...keep an extra bag on hand of the good stuff!
