We always did real, but two years ago, bought a huge tall one for our new house on sale and that is what we now use.....until it starts to look yucky! Plus, in our new house, we have the wood heat (fire place) and my DH is paranoid about having a real cedar in the house! --since they dry out so fast. I tried to tell him that w/ me being home all day, it would always have water in it, but then his excuse was that since all three of the big dogs come in, it would be knocked over!! Men.........
