Fast Eddie....the strangest thing about our next door neighbor of 35 years is that she is not an animal person. But she was very protective of her job description as our part time animal sitter. She did not want to share this often taxing responsibility with anyone else

....Even in the winter....she would trudge through the snow to break the ice in the water troughs for our horse and calf. Pen up the chickens in their roosting houses each evening to save them from the possums and raccoons. Sometimes she would bring a friend to see our personal zoo...I guess she enjoyed our animals at a distance...Now we are down to 3 dogs and a cat....so feeding them during our trips is a piece of cake....however I take Max with me....wouldn't leave him on a bet...I think animals open many doors that perhaps we humans can't.
