Angry Other Yorkie Owners are ignorant too!

Sorry your were subject to such ignorance! Beleive it or not the majority of Yorkie owners I run into, usually @ Petsmart and the Vets. Office are "Ignorant" or just don't know any better. I get this same treatment all the time from other Yorkie Owners who treat their Yorkies as if they were made of Gold, just b/c they have smaller furbabies than mine.
Before Abigail's pregnancy she was only 7 lbs. and Artie was also 7 lbs. maybe b/c it was Summertime, 3 months now after the Birth, she is 9.5 lbs.
and Artie is 10 lbs. Of course they are both eating the "Puppies" food and it's Wintertime? Or maybe it was b/c they are just getting older and less exercise in the colder weather? Their weight always fluctuates, depending on the time of the year? Any how I bred them on purpose not by accident, they chose each other as well as me choosing them. I was told by many other people who have no experience in Breeding Yorkies, b/c their Yorkies were too small to breed, that mine were too large to Breed and both s/b "Fixed".
Why do other people always think they know what's Best for others, w/o knowing all the details? These are the same ignorant people that told me I wouldn't be able to "Sell" them b/c they were too big
The Families that purchased them actually complained b/c they were too small
since they had young children, they wanted them much bigger than they had previously seen. They were not willing to coddle/care for a delicate puppy that could not walk, play and interact w/their children.
I don't breed my Babies for size, (mini-Yorkies) I breed for Personality......but I still follow the AKC. Standards. I didn't Breed for money either b/c I only Sold one, kept one, and I'm giving the last one away as Xmas gift.
I love Yorkies regardless of their size, but I personally prefer the mid-size standard of 7 lbs. I know mine are only heavy during a certain time of the year. I also get alot of comments about their Coloration, since they are both
Blue & Gold, not the more common color of Black & Tan and I am always asked if they are "Silky Terriers" and am I sure they are Yorkies?
For some reason Size is always an issue? But IMO you or anyone else for that matter (myself included) that doesn't have a "Tiny" should not have to hear non-sense from another Yorkie Ownere that does have one!
Luckily for her the Vet. called you in......the nerve of some people?
