Toby (1 yr old) has been with us for 6 months and he is not friendly with other people or dogs (except his older sister, a maltese). He is not aggressive towards them; he would rather run away then confront. But if another dog approaches and he has nowhere to go, he will growl and bite at them. With people, he will avoid them but if I hold him in my arms up at their level, he will smell them but that's about it. If the humans are "regular" visitors, he is kissy, lovey with them. But he is the sweetest little guy with us!
