I hate fleas. Fortuantely in my neighborhood, everyone takes really good care of their yard and we don't have them. We've lived here over a year and I've yet to find one on my babies.
If I were you, I would go to the vet and get some drops like Advantix. This takes care of fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes. It probably cost $9 a month to keep your pet much happier...it's worth it.
Also, they have a certain heartworm pill...don't know if your pup is on them...that will also take care of this.
You need to be very careful. Fleas can also invade your home. When my husband and I were dating, he had some type of bird dog that was infested with them. He let his dog come into the house at night. Didn't take long...you walked into his house and fleas would start jumping all over you.
