Today was Mickey's last vet appt for her 1st year baby shots. Mickey is my 4 and 1/2 month old Yorkie. She currently weighs 5 pounds. I am amazed that she even weighs this much because she is very tiny. My other dog is a 11 lb Shih Tzu, 4 year5s old who is MUCH larger than Mickey in height, bone structure etc.
Anyway, we (me & Mickey) are at the vets office this am. After about 15 mins of our arrival, a woman comes in with her Yorkie.
Well, one word led to another and the 2 of us start talking Yorkies. It turned out that her Yorkie, was 6 months old and weighed 2 pounds, and was there to be spayed. This woman then asked me questions about my Mickey and when she heard that she was 5 pounds at 4.5 months---she was horrified! She told me in no uncertain terms that I "Must" get this "animial"
spayed since she was : "well beyond the breed standards". She then proceeds to try to convince me to sell my "unacceptable" Yorkie. To just accept the "loss," and start over!
God works in amazing ways...............thank goodness me and my unacceptable Yorkie", ....were called into the next examing room.
