What are you feeding them? Some of the dog foods are filled with more grain and things that do not stay with them as long. Maybe switching dog foods would help? Maybe you could slowly reduce the amount he gets in that lunch time feeding until he is more used to teh twice a day schedule. I leave dry dog food out all the time for mine so they can nibble here and there, as they want.
