Ellie your humble opinion shows you have a fine and logical mind! I think you are absolutely right. I have 3 pads in living room dinning area and Joey pees on all three, but only occasionally poos on them. I started putting newspaper on top of pad because he wanted to use pad only once, this way all I have to do is change the newspaper and he seems happy to use them again and again. I think they need a special poo spray because Simple Solution only seems to attract urine.
