I have a budgie currently. She is really tame and she flies all over my living room; mostly fly from her cage to the playgym. Her cage is high so that she can rest and have her own privacy when she wants to but her playgym is right by the couch. Siu Pao is pretty good and mellow. He never barks at her. He likes to go on the couch (always under my supervision though until he is older) and say hi to my little bird but she doesn't like it. She bit his nose many times. There were once when Siu Pao was sleeping on the floor, she flew down on the floor charging at him full speed and squawk at him-->I think she was jealous of all the attention he gets.Siu Pao woke up, stared at her and freaked out and ran away! He was scared of her!!! It was the funniest thing I have seen but it was too quick, I couldn't catch it on video.
