The sad truth is that most 9 year olds do listen to her music among others. Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton are no role models either. I don't care who she is or what she does. However, when you are in the spot light then it stands to reason that kids of all ages will look up to you(Even if you don't want them to). Even if the kids don't listen to her music they look at how she carries herself and how she dresses. I won't apologize for saying that I don't feel she is any kind of role model.
When you have a 9 year old you will see exactly what I mean. They hear and see way more than you want them too. Yes, it is up to us as parents to find good role models. Believe me I do, and not allowing brittney's music among others in my house is the way I control that. My daughter knows a little girl who is 8 and she listens to 50 CENTS !!! My point is that a lot of young children listen to her and others that they have no business listening to. So when she is asking for the public's money (buying her music) then she opens up herself to being judged. Especially by us parents! |
