the extra weight might be tough on her joints esp her knees if she has patella subluxation. i know that we have struggled to keep miss daisys weight down after switching her to a low animal protien diet due to her intra hepatic liver shunt.
oh and its also bad for collapsing trachea. so as long as she isnt obese its better to keep her weight down. i use carrots and other veggies as treats since she acts like im starving her! sara |
