LOL, it's minus 4 tonight, and I took them on a 15-minute walk! Besides, THEY abuse ME by demanding to go for walks! But, seriously, I watch them extremely closely to make sure they're not shivering. When Jack shivers, he goes into a fleece pouch that Oscar's Mom made for him. So far, Eddie hasn't shivered this year.
And TeddyBear, it took about a week of daily bootieing (get your minds out of the gutter!), for Eddie to walk on them without lifting them up awkwardly. Each day, I plied him with treats to walk a little farther. Finally, he gave up. He doesn't necessarily like them, and I often have to chase him down in the house to get them on, but once outside he runs like he doesn't even have them on.
It took Jack longer to get used to them, but that was understandable because he was also recovering from surgery. This year, he's had no problem with them. In fact, he puts up with them better than Eddie does.
