I was looking at what everyone puts in their welping kits and had a few questions.
Red raspberry tea
Anyone heard of it or used it?? It is suppose to make the whelping process easier trouble free. Does it really or is this a scam?? Here is a description.
The Solid Gold Raspberry Leaf Powder is more effective than many tea preparations because of its high fragrine content.
100% Red raspberry leaves.
A dietary supplement for brood bitches during breeding, pregnancy, and nursing.
Used regularly before whelping it seems to make the whelping easier and generally trouble free.
We recommend it highly.

Begin using Razz two weeks before bitch is due to come into season. Continue throughout pregnancy and until six weeks after whelping.

Also, with all the talk about new born mothers not having milk, I was wondering if anyone has used the Happy Jack Milkade or heard of it??
Here is the description...
Happy Jack Milkade was developed by the late Dr. Hargett, D.V.M., M.D., to help combat losses in pups during the first critical few days following whelping. No prior treatment necessary - just place in food beginning 4-5 days before bitch whelps and ten days thereafter. Contains five proven ingredients for fast action, following whelping, to aid the female in providing a clean, healthy quantity of milk.
Proven on females that had never raised a pup due to poisonous acidity or their lack of milk, that other alkalies and mineral-vitamin supplements did not correct.
One 2 oz. bottle of Milkade mixed with a pint of water is sufficient for 1 litter of puppies.
Do not mix until ready to use and refrigerate after mixing. Sediment is normal.
2 oz. Powder.
Directions: Mix the full contents of bottle with one pint of water. Stir until dissolved. Give one tablespoon twice daily in food of by mouth, beginning 4 or 5 days before whelping and for about 10 days thereafter. Then decrease dosage gradually until the pups are weaned.
Ingredients: Sodium Acetate, Potassium Citrate, Calcium Gluconate, Lactose and Thiamine Hydrochloride.
Minimum Guaranteed Analysis: Thiamine Hydrochloride 3%.
Alright, one last question.
I was wondering if you could use nutri-stat on newborn puppies?? I heard that you were not suppose to and that you should use nutri-drops. However, I also heard that you can use nutri-stat on new born puppies. So now I am a bit confused.
Any help or input is greatly appreciated!!!
