Oh my goodness, the pup was lucky to have you there to help. How did you breathe for the puppy? How does that work in case I run into that problem where a pup is not breathing?

There is a CPR thread at the top of the Emergency Forum. Usually just sucking out the nasal and oral cavity with a bulb syringe (baby nose aspirator) and rubbing briskly with a towel will get one started breathing. I have never had to give CPR, but have had to "shake them down" (holding upside down with neck and head supported to remove fluids from the lungs). Always keep their head lower than their lungs until they are breathing well.
