Your dogs nose will lighten up if you don't take them outside in the sun on a regular basis. This sometimes happens to Codie and Tia during the especially cold winter months. I try to take them for a 1 hour walk EVERY day after work but on those SUPER FREEZING winter days, we stay home.

In fact, here are 3 pictures of Codie's nose so you can see what I mean. His nose changed color because we had a few weeks of heavy rain, so I kept him inside. But now his nose is back to being solid dark black because the weather cleared up and we're back to our regular daily walks!
