When we went to a house from an apartment with a screened in porch, the furbabies loved it. Since it was a brand new house there were no previous "smells" for them to be affected into a bad behavior. I'd just watch your kiddos and while they may be afraid of the stairs, they may get use to them. We bought small stairs for our yorkie to get up and down from our bed and he used them immediately but our maltese will not use them at all!!! Go Figure why! Anyway, I am sure they will be a bit scared at first but will settle in nicely in a few days. Oh and congrats on the new home!
