When my dog was a pup - he had the absolute worst mess of hair I have ever seen. It was thin and very oily. And, you absolutely couldn't get a comb through it - and it hurt him when I tried. So - I started trimming off that terrible puppy hair as fast as his new hair grew in. And - this totally solved the problem for him.
His new coat of hair is silky (but wavy) - not oily - and very easy to comb. And - it's much thicker and healthier looking.
He' a little over a year old now - and has a nice coat of hair. It grows fast, but I have never let it grow long.
So - who knows! Have faith!
