I just use the boiled chicken and white rice, don't like to use medications. Pepto is basically aspirin and using too much or too often can cause ulcers.

The typical dose administered to dogs is 0.5 to 1.5 ml per pound per day (1 to 3 ml/kg/day). The total daily dose should be divided into two to four doses. This amounts to approximately 1 teaspoon (5 ml total) per 5-pounds per day, ideally split between two to four doses.

Pepcid will be of no help for diarrhea. It is for stomach acid which causes a yellow foamy vomit - if vomiting in the morning, usually helped by feeding early and giving a late night snack before bedtime.
