I don't like sweet potatoes, but that is what I have been asked to bring to a friend who is cooking Thanksgiving dinner for us so I need y'alls help in deciding which recipe to use based on ingredients: Here are the two I have:

sweet potatoes with salt, brown sugar, honey, butter, milk, topped with marshmallows; or

sweet potatoes, brown sugar, maple syrup, heavy cream, butter, vanilla extract, allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg, topped with marshmallows

Also, is it best to start with fresh and boil them until soft or are canned preferred - if so, any brands better than another??

Please let me know which you think the majority of people would like or feel free to submit your own recipe. Thanks.
