It's not just you I agree totally.
I like what Rebecca (RLC12345678) said above find a smaller crate for him. Although I never crate trained Georgie I think that crate training is a great option. Please do not put him on the porch it's not safe for him. There are definitely alternatives to that. Good luck and remember he is just a baby it will take time to housetrain him please be patient.
