Yes, I agree. *IF* the accidents are related at all to the grooming trip, then I would say the accidents indicate that she was stressed by it. And I agree that her cowering doesn't mean that she knows right and wrong.

Kelly, you are right to interrupt her when she is pottying incorrectly and take her to where you want her to go. As has been said, confine her to smaller areas so that you can keep an eagle eye on her. And, never forget the power of positive reinforcement - when she does potty correctly, shower her with praise and yummy treats!!!

She'll get back on track soon.
