I have a senior toy poodle 17) He went through a stage off and on for a couple of years with throwing up yellow foamy saliva. I finally ignored the vet and switched his food. He also has a big bad heart murmur, so I was afraid to fuss with changing his habits too much. He's doing fine now and threw up Tuesday for the first time in about 6 months. So maybe he needs a switch of brands.

As long as he is eating something, I wouldn't be too upset. Just keep an eye on him. Make sure he drinks though.
