Well, as you know we just got our little girl Savannah this week. The limited registartion box on her AKC papers is marked in, but that was our choice since we want to have her fixed so she will be as healthy as she can be.

My question is, since we are not showing or breeding our little girl, is there really any point to registering her with AKC at all? She is strictly my little baby, nothing else, so I'm not really seeing the need here unless there's some loophole that I'm missing that makes it necessary.

In all honesty, the fact that she's got 'papers' doesn't really concern us. We just wanted to make sure she was a purebred because we are allergic to regular dogs (no problems with her though!) and pedigree and all that doesn't really matter to us.
