I will pray for you and your family, and that the doctors are able to fix your eye perfectly. I'm sure the recovery isn't fun, but it's better than the alternative---losing your sight in that eye
The number one thing I can tell you about surgical recovery (of any kind), is that a diet high in lean protein and dark green leafy vegetables will speed your healing up immensely. Drink tons of water, also. I'm a staff member of a very large support site for surgical patients and have seen the difference that diet makes in recovery. You're going to do great, so just stay positive.
