I had a girl for 16 years...at the same time I had boy (different breed though) and I found I favored my girl. After she was gone and when I was ready for another Yorkie I really wanted another girl. When I went to look at some they had only one girl and she was too pricey for me...they had one boy in my price range so I decided to try a boy...he was so cute I couldn't resist him. Well, I love him as much as my girl...I would not hesitate to get another boy now. I find them both to be great. I don't think it's their gender...it's the breed. For me anyway.
