My male is over a year old and he squats to pee.
I have a male and female. There are qualities that I like about both of them. My male was neutered early (5 months of age) and he has never humped anything nor hiked his leg to pee....he still squats. He is also more cuddly and loving and he was MUCH easier to potty train, which I think comes from him being very eager to please. My female is more laid back and independant. She could care less whether she is on the couch with me or laying on the floor or if she is in my lap or not. My male has to be right where I am all the time. I love having one of each. I will always have one of each.
