I got Maya my Pom from a AKC Pet store that sold only dogs. Maya has been very healthy and a very pretty girl. BUT her personality is horrible. She barks constantly, and until I got Cali stayed under the bed 90% of the time. Bites me if I try and give her a pill, clean her eyes or in anyway invade her space. I am just now geting over a bad bite to my fingernail and nailbed from trying to give her a pill. A lot of people ask why I don't give her away or put her to sleep. Because I love her and I feel it is not her fault but the bad breeding she was subjected to. When I make a commitment I honor it. I just know what to expect from her. So not only are puppymill dogs sickly they can have bad temperment problems that are not their fault and then they end up in shelters.
