And if you think that not all puppies in petstores come from mills, that's just naive  There might be a tiny percentage of pet stores that get their puppies from local breeders, I'll give you that. However, the money to be made by buying puppies cheaply from the mills is way too attractive to the greedy ones. It's just not cost effective for them to buy from breeders, and any responsible breeder more than likely wouldn't sell to them. I'd love to hear any breeders take on selling to pet stores, if they would or wouldn't and why.

my intention was NOT to offend anyone and that's why I felt hurt by that post - and you're so right - any reputable ETHICAL CARING breeder would
never sell to a pet store .....the Breeders I talk to on a regular basis would rather cut off their arm than ever sell their puppies to a pet shop
and you're right - the percentage of shops that buy from so called 'breeders' is very small when you look at the big picture - and my post was about the big picture -
not who bought in pet stores.
