They are just so delicate our little guys. I never took Sancho anywhere where I wasn't certain that he was safe and most of the time...until he had the last of his shots, he stayed inside and kept to the piddle pad if we were in a neighborhood I wasn't comfortable with like the one you're talking about. I figure the smaller they are the more there is to be concerned about. My suggestion, err on the side of caution and don't let him out at Grandma's house.
