I'd leave it alone. If you *just* got it done, and it's red...no worries, sounds normal to me. If she seems bothered by it or it's swollen (depending where he placed it you may be able to feel the chip under the skin-don't mistake that for swelling), warm to the touch for more than an hour- THEN I'd take her in. Otherwise I'd leave the glue and the injection site alone.
Worse comes to worse and you're concerned, I'd wash that area w/ a mild detergent and rinse really well.

The gauge needle they use to microchip is somewhat larger than that of a vaccination needle, so if your Yorkie is particularly small or has thinner skin, it's often necc. to use dermal glue.
