I've had both - and the end result is that they were all equally wonderful pets. I am honest when I say - I don't prefer one over the other.
More than the sex - a lot depends on the temperment and personality of each individual dog....
I think especially if our pets are neutered and spayed -- (which they should be) - we'll find few reasons to prefer one sex over the other.
