In the AM I put him in an X-pen during the time I am at work. Normally he won’t pee when I watch him, but when I turn my back and do something he already pees on the wee wee pad. Problem is when he poo. He would be in the process of pooing in the wee wee pad and before he is done jumps off the pad and part of the poo is on the pad and the other is on the floor. Is this normal?
When I come home I let him out in the play pen and roam around with my supervision, then he don’t know where to pee anymore. Last nite he peed on the floor. Am I doing something wrong? When I crate him he knows where to go. He will forget only when he gets excited to see me. Please tell me what I am doing wrong. Thanks. |
You're not doing anything wrong. he is just very very young. Give him time and keep wee pads all over when he is out of the x pen
Yes walking and pooping is normal, mine did that too. some of them just walk when the poop. but poop is easy to clean up.
Mine would use the pee pad or even the doggie door when in the kitchen but not when I let them in the living room, so when I let them in the living room, I would move the pee pad in there also. Just because they know to use it in one room does not mean they know it in another room. When they get old enough they can make the connection, but don't expect miracles for at least another 4 months.
It just takes time and patience.
