I just measured it for ya and it is 8 and 1/2 inches from the ground
The back goes higher up than the front - but the front part where they jump up is much lower (8 and 1/2 inches) - my little circus dog has absolutely NO problems what-so-ever getting in his new favorite chair
And of course, you could always get one and try it out...and if your baby can't make the jump yet, LOL...either save it for a while OR, you could always just take it back
It really is cute though - it got Steddy's approval! LOL
