Make sure they do the blood panel before the surgery, this will ensure that he has no reaction to the anesthesia. Find out what type of anesthesia they will be using- Iso Only. Ask them if they can remove any teeth during the surgery that he hasnt already lost. That way he will most likely not have to go under again to have any teeth removed. Ask them to use the smallest tube possible so as not to damage the trachea when intubating.

I can't think of anything else....
