I personally couldn't handle two Yorkies, unless the second one was exactly like Otis.
My first Yorkie, Archie, was a nightmare. He peed everywhere and cried all the time. He humped everything and chewed up furniture. He had eating problems and costed me a fortune at the vet.
Otis just seemed so easy to be with from the start...and I couldn't imagine interrupting our serene life with a puppy. I wouldn't want Otis to feel threatened, and I want to make our life together as happy as possible.
Otis's little brother (same sire) would stay with us for days at a time, and I would start to notice Otis (wow, I rhymed) isolating himself...hiding under the bed, etc....so I think Otis is better off being an only child. He's a momma's boy. |
