Hi, my Pepper's going to turn 6 months at the end of the month... (wow doesn't the time fly??). We went to the vet yesterday for his rabies vaccine and I had a talk about neutering. He said I'll need to bring him in at 8 am and pick up at 5 the same day (I'd be a wreck having to leave him overnight!

). They use isofluorine, no barbituates. The blood tests for kidneys and liver are done a few days in advance. I have a question about shaving the paw... He said they put a caterer in just in case something goes wrong during surgery and they need to put the dog on IV immediately, it's more of a precaution, there's always a risk though, as with every surgery. He'll also need his tear ducts drained ( most probably), but at least teeth fell out on their own

. Is there anything I forgot to ask the vet?? I remember seeing a thread about no shaving of paws during such procedure, what do you Guys think?
