Default legs

Hi and welcome..
Dogs do very well with 3 legs. I know several personnally and they have no clue there is anything not perfect with their bodies.

My Clemmie's leg took 5 months to heal from a very bad break. She had surgery and pins put in also. Each month I took her for an xray..month 1 through 3 there was only minimal healing, month 4 it started to improve, month 5 it was healed..a broken bone that has mended is stronger then one that was never broken. The cast never bothered Clemmie..in fact my vet said he has one Yorkie in a walking cast for 2 yrs, but it healed slowly.

My vets said...all bones heal given enough time..you check them regular for any problems and wait it out...get Sea Kelp daily. Good luck to you.
