When we lost our little Yorkie, Maggie, it was hard on the whole family. We have a dachshund and a Jack Russell. The Jack Russell was lost for a while, sort of went into a depression for a couple of weeks. The dachshund would go outside and then just look back at the door so sad, still waiting for little Maggie who always followed her out the door. They eventually got back to normal but it definately took a toll for a month or two there. When Ben came home with us, the other two were a little stand-offish, but it has only taken a month and it is already like Ben has always been with them. So, I would say the dogs are fairly resilient but I am sure they still miss Maggie -- as we all do. |
