The other thing I really like is a product called 024 that you will find at CVS or Walgreens in with the other stuff like Bengay. It is in a khaki colored box with orange writing. I recommend the long, skinny box that contains the glass bottle with the sprayer. It is expensive - $20 - but it is made up of essential oils which have healing properties rather than just some stuff you put on. It gets either really warm or cold depending on what the muscles need. Just make sure you wash your hands really good with lots of soap after applying so you don't accidentally get it in your eyes or other sensitive body parts. The bottle lasts a long time and is also great for congestion.

I still swear by ice as well. I know first aid says ice only during the first 24 hours, but I've always found ice not only feels better on the area, but really reduces swelling and the after effects are longer lasting.

Hope you start to feel better soon.
